Welcome to the MSLIS Wiki!
This is an information resource for students, faculty, and others interested in the Masters of Science in Library and Information Science program at the School of Information Studies at Syracuse University.
There are three areas to explore:
The main resource is the Student Guide, which is designed as a place for students with questions to find answers and advice from other students, faculty and staff. Students are welcome to add new questions and clarify answers. If you want to do this, please send an e-mail to Scott Nicholson at firstname.lastname@example.org and he will create an account for you.
As part of the first class, students create and expand upon this list of useful librarianship blogs and job resources.
The MSLIS program has a regular meeting to talk about issues, and the policies, comments, curriculum changes and you can find the results here. This is a great resource for keeping up to date on what decisions are being made and how the program is changing.
The MSLIS Advising Guide is designed as a document for those advising MSLIS students in course timing and selection. Students are welcome to browse it as well.
Due to the nature of a Wiki, it is good to double-check information you find here, as people can change it easily.
